Professor Desmond O’Neill is a consultant physician in geriatric and stroke medicine at Trinity College Dublin and the Adelaide and Meath Hospital Dublin, Ireland. His interests centre on neurosciences and ageing, with a strong interest in the medical humanities. He is Director of the Centre for Ageing, Neurosciences and the Humanities and currently President of the European Union Geriatric Medicine Society. He will provide an original perspective on active and healthy ageing.
